There Was No Love – -part 27

Neil married Jinja.

This is the first in thirty five years I even think their names.  The first I make it real.  Neil and Jinja got married.

Neil married Jinja.

The word devastating is not misused.   My life, my world view, everything that mattered to me, every dream I had was swallowed up.  I felt as if a bomb had dropped and I stood amid the destruction.

Neil married Jinja, and I was devastated.

That was devastating.  That was the true mourning.  That was when my life ended.

The person who came to the city I had lived in for nearly thirty five  years, was not me.  It was a shadow, a shell, the what’s left.

What do you think?
