Marla wiped her face, took a breath, turned from the window.
She looked around her office, her eyes touching the photos of her husband and son. She looked and looked away.
All the dreams she had with Bryan were gone. They would never happen. She and Bryan were over forever.
And if she didn’t think about the past, if she erased it from her thoughts, her life flowed in one unbroken channel.
