Contact between Julie and her mother had dwindled over the years. There had been little contract.
Julie used to send her mother a gift basket on her birthday and on mother’s day. Then John, finding out, ridiculed her, so she stopped.
For four years, Julie had sent no gifts, and when her mother called, rushed her off the phone.
She would then call John for his approval.
Julie had called John every day. She told him everything. He would know, sometimes before her husband. She thought John was her dearest relative.
Julie began to cry. What should she do? What should she say?
