Ghostwriter
My day was not perfect and I kept on looking for the joy, the good and a reason to smile. So for my accountability today I am going to share the moments that made me celebrate little bits of joy and smile. They are not earthshaking, and they are life changing when I am able to take them into my heart.
One of the songs that my husband and I used to dance to all the time came on the station and he got up and said “We need to dance.”
My next moment was that my brother said “Thanks, if you weren’t here to take care of us we wouldn’t make it.”
The truth is even though he is so very ill and disabled he is my protector. He gets impatient and angry. Really he is hanging onto life to take care of his little sister. That is unconditional love and he has perfected it and shares it with me.
Then there was a fun moment. My husband said “Why did I marry?”
“Good question! I have no idea because when we got the marriage license you asked if there was a combination one, so the divorce would be cheaper.”
“Gosh, I am handsome and funny you are a lucky woman.”
Someone from work that I had coached sent my flowers and said how much it was appreciated. (Even better my husband thought he sent them and I didn’t disagree.)
It can be tough to look at the bright side sometimes, but you did a superb job! ?
