At 3 pm, I drove to South Coast Plaza to see what is going on at the mall lately. Masks are optional, especially if people are fully vaccinated. I am very healthy since before lockdown, in which my doctor reports stated I am “immensely healthy.” No one asked for vaccine passports, which is good news. So far, so good. Many people weren’t wearing a mask. But there were some people wearing a mask.
Anyway, I noticed long lines by big designer boutiques, such as Chanel, Dior, LV, and Hermes.
I browsed the fashions and I noticed 80s and 90s-inspired clothing, which are clothing that I used to wear during my 20s in my college years and after college years. It was déjà vu. I noticed lots of combat boots and sandals, which I wear a lot and have been wearing a lot since the 90s.
I walked all over the inside of the indoor mall as well as walking across the street to the MetroPointe outlets, browsing and people-watching. The mall was crowded and busy, and it seemed kind of normal or as normal as people can get during all this enslavement period of our life.
When I returned home, I checked my iPhone for my walking record. I walked 2.2 miles, 5,706 steps and 1 floor during a 2-hour period. The weather outside was nice, sunny and warm but breezy, even though downtown Costa Mesa is more inland than Irvine. It is across the street from my gym.
