Newborn Photography
One thing that we always tell parents who inquire about a Los Angeles baby photography session with us, is that babies are unpredictable! You really never know how they are going to feel once they arrive to our photography studio. They could be anxious and unsure about the whole photo session, which gives us more serious expressions to capture. They could be a bit apprehensive, but then open up us, and this gives us a variety of inquisitive looks and cute faces. And then sometimes, they are happy, smiley and just down right fabulous from the get go! Like this sweet boy! We photographed him for about 1.5 hours straight, and in every set up, every outfit change, he kept SMILING! We really did have a blast capturing him. This photography session is what we call our “Sitting Up Milestone” session. It is a session for babies between 6-8 months old, and are sitting up independently and unassisted.
In these sessions, we can typically get through about 2-3 different outfit changes. We like to offer parents a variety of shots to choose from in their proof gallery, so we mix it up with different poses and props too! This is a great age to photography baby on their tummy, as they like to lift themselves up on their little arms. We also like to photograph them on their backs, and they usually always grab their toes too!
One fun fact from this sweet boy’s session! Mom took these photos to submit to a few baby modeling agencies here in Los Angeles; mainly, just for fun to see if there was any interest. Let me tell you, that no less than five hours later TWO of the top agencies were asking to sign him! How’s that for interest? He has gone on to model for Disney and Gymboree so far!
