Bohemian Rhapsody 2018 movie review

Tuesday, December 25, 2018

I woke up at 5:55am, but stayed in bed until around 10 am, and I decided to go to the Bohemian Rhapsody film, which is about the popular 80s band Queen and the lead singer Freddie Mercury. I grew up listening to this band during my teen and college years. As I slowly got ready with my morning routine, I decided to go the 3:15 pm starting time.

I went on IMVU to notice I received another holiday gift. I organized 6 gifts, as well as some older items in the holiday gift room. It mostly has a red theme, with some greenery and white as accents. It looks like a cozy winter theme family room, with a blazing fire inside the fireplace. The windows display a night scene, snowing weather, pine trees, and a small cabin with a lighted window. It appears to be somewhere in the mountains.

I went to the atm, but it wasn’t working. So, I decided to go to the atm on the college campus. The campus looked like a ghost town. The only thing I noticed is construction. I found a discarded fortune cookie message, which states “Cherish family and friends.” I walked around in the University Town Center and took some snapshots. There were few people walking around, but it was mostly deserted because the theater was the only building open for business.

I parked my car by the local theatre. When I bought my ticket, I noticed I am one hour early. But everything was closed in the area. So, there wasn’t anywhere else to go anyway. The guy in the box office window informed me that I have enough points on my Regal card to get a drink and small popcorn. I decided to use the points. I entered the theatre, got my small popcorn bag and cup of lemonade with ice. I read some of the reviews two movies, Destroyer and If Beale Street Could Talk. They both seemed interesting movies. The Destroyer stars Nicole Kidman, who is transformed into her character, which makes her look different and raw. I am not familiar with any of the actors in If Beale Street Could Talk. I sat at the Bistro-style chair and table, eating my complimentary snacks. I finished my popcorn. I heard the box office state that the movie is sold out. The noon showing was full, and the 3 pm showing is filling up quickly.  I entered the theater room at 3 pm. It was a good movie, but sad. It kept my attention during all two hours and a half, and I walked out of the theatre room at 5:45 pm, noticing a busy lobby with more people waiting for the next showing. It was dark outside, and the parking lot was now very crowded with cars. I returned home at 5:55 pm and ate my ramen dinner. I also made some Caffe Al Affogato.
