Scamming the Scammer – End

Theresa had lived her horrible singular life  exploiting other people.   Her grandmother’s house was the greatest gift.   It operated as a spider’s web, capturing people, making them miserable, until they escaped.

A guy like Ian could have no qualms living off a woman like Theresa.   He’d go and come, filling the spaces with others like her.

Joan had spent her life ripping off and using whomever came in her purview.  She’d used whatever story got her over.

Gavin, the quiet one, used people easily.

Unlike Theresa whose loud vicious mouth was her weapon, Gavin used silence.

Gavin could find and use someone like Ann and  walk away without guilt.   That she meant nothing to him from day one to day last was never stated. Why?   Why say anything?   Ann should be grateful.  Gavin had paid the rent, the bills and bought the food,

Ann, for her part, was a two faced treacherous ‘child of the universe’  who lied constantly, adopted other people’s ideas.   She could betray anyone at any time for virtually nothing.

Gavin could feel no more guilt at abandoning her in Therea’s ‘web’  then he could throwing away a bag of garbage.
