Marina Abramovic, one of the world’s greatest performing artists, is staying in Belgrade for these days. She is staying in Belgrade on the occasion of preparing for the retrospective exhibition “Cleaner”, which will be held in 2019 at the Museum of Contemporary Art. In an interview, she said that Belgrade is full of young people and that they are the audience she would like to have in the Museum.
The retrospective exhibition “Cleaner” was held in seven cities in Europe – Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Bonn, Florence and the Polish city of Torun. The exhibition will include drawings, paintings and installations created throughout the entire career of Marina Abramović, including the creation period in Belgrade during the 1970s. The exhibition of the renowned artist will open in September 2019 and will last until January 2020.
