I always wondered about the Golden Calf.
The people knew it was created from their jewellry. An old bracelet, a ring, they knew where the gold came from. They threw it in the fire.
Yet, they could take that manufactured item, and pray to it.
Made no sense.
Then, in America, came a loud mouthed, uncouth, uneducated slob of an adulteror. The kind of person decent people would not sit beside at dinner.
Yet, Americans saw him not as just some candidate in an election, or a person filling an office, they began to worship him.
He wasn’t just the President, he was and is their Messiah.
Did he do anything for them? Free Health care? No. Extra money? No. Better education? No. In fact he did absolutely nothing at all whatsoever for the American people.
Yet, they worship him.
And if one doubts; note the Golden Crass created in his image.
