When Teresa had opened the front door Herbert raced in to grab his things.
Teresa began a loud hysterical bawling, then grabbed Herbert, begging him not to go, holding him so tightly he couldn’t breathe, promising things she couldn’t deliver.
He didn’t know what to do, but having no where to go, needing her to let go, he spoke calmly as she had talked him into staying.
She became disgustingly passionate, and was all over him. When she’d finally stopped, he didn’t know what to do.
Not knowing what and where he stayed with Teresa.
As time passed if Herbert refused to go anywhere with her, she began screaming and smashing things. He learned to lock himself into the bathroom.
For he was not going to be seen with her in public.
