Her grandmother left the house to her. A large house in a popular neighbourhood. Teresa moved in, then decided to rent rooms.
People expect to rent a room, to have access to a bathroom, a kitchen, and some ‘me space’.
They don’t mind mingling now and then, but Teresa virtually came with the floors. She was almost constantly underfoot.
She’d be in and out of a section, an occupied section, a section a tenant paid rent for. She would make decisions about moving a fridge or complain about a light bill.
So the tenants moved out.
Two months was a virtual record.
