Closer to four than three, Lisa came home with the kids. She was so deep into discussion with them, Kian could have been a toaster
He didn’t fight for attention, he watched his family as if it were a sit com.
Finally, after dinner, he told Lisa he had something to tell her, and walked her to the bedroom. As they entered, Kian looked at her and smiled.
That’s when Debbie shouted; “Mommy! Tell Billy to Stop!”
Lisa didn’t say a word, held up a finger and went to the children.
Kian turned and began to repack his bag.
He wasn’t needed here. In truth, he didn’t want to be here.
There was a world out there with people who might be interested in what he had to say.
So he packed and left.
