Louis expected his parents to call him every day, but they didn’t. In fact, it was a week later when his mother called. Angry, he told her how busy he was, she said she’d call on Sunday at three.
Louis decided to leave the phone home on Sunday so that he didn’t have to answer.
When he got in on Sunday at nine, he saw some messages. After hearing the first, he stopped wasting his ears and deleted her other messages unheard.
Louis had to chuckle. He knew his big important surgeon parents must be totally devastated that their son was not following their footsteps, not going to college, but becoming a fireman!
Every time he said it, he cracked up. It was so funny!
