Theresa had lived her life using and abusing people. Suffering mental problems, reluctant to take her medication, her parents couldn’t take her behaviour.
They shipped her to her grandmother.
Her grandmother, recognising the situation, had money. She built a section to her house, and put Theresa in there to live, keeping the rest of the house locked.
She had very little contact with Theresa.
When her Grandmother died, although the house was left to her mother and aunts, no one made a move to touch it.
Theresa alone decided to rent out the section she had occupied and two rooms in her grandmother’s house.
This not only removed her isolation but made her lady of the manor.
