Those at the shelter put her up, helped her find a job with a particular company which assisted in protecting vulnerable women. The Shelter had told her not to use the name Jayne Morris but her maiden and middle name to disguise her identity. She would be J. Carol Elder.
She went to work, came home to the shelter.
It took a month for Jayne to feel capable of living on her own. The Shelter helped her find a place and move in. She now begin to feel like Carol Elder.
She knew better than to contact George’s mother to learn about her children. Knew better than to contact anyone.
