One of the guys reminded us that when we were in High School the guy we called ‘The Jerk’ wanted to write for the school paper. His stuff was so bad nothing was published.
He decided to write his own online paper. He named it the Trumpet. He did everything himself. Alone.
We took a side glance, it was boring rubbish. No one read it.
In his graduation blurb, where others were on the track team, or debating society or belonged to the future teacher’s club, he listed that he was the Editor of the Trumpet.
He was actually proud of it.
He was proud of writing an online school paper no one read or cared about. The fact that He wrote it and He cared was all the support He needed.
