Ah the setting sun, it is so wonderful to see the sun the past two days. One of my memories of years ago was my grandfather and my father calling August the Dog Days of summer. Those were the hot sunny days of summer at least in my childhood memories. I know, the end of July this year and the beginning of August have been more about the falling rain than anything else.
This year it has been a little cooler (although we have still hit 33 days of 90 or higher in DC) and a lot wetter (4 times the annual expected rainfall in July, nearly 1.5 times the expected rainfall for August so far).
