Happy Easter!

Orthodox believers celebrate the great Christian holiday of Easter. From a theological point of view, Easter is the most important Christian holiday, and it expresses joy through the final victory of the Son of God over death and persecution. However, the customs practiced by the people vary from state to state, so the Serbs, Bulgarians, Greeks, Russians, Eskimi and others celebrate this holiday in different ways.

There are plenty of egg painting techniques, and each housekeeper chooses the most beautiful ones, but what’s in most homes is inevitably the coloring of at least one egg in red. As the color of the Easter is red, it symbolizes the innocent blood of Jesus, the custom in Serbia is to first paint the paint with red. This egg is called “guardian”, it is kept all year long and how its name says, it keeps the house and households.
