Is it really 2020?

Listen to the news.   A virus has conquered the world.   People are incapable of conquering it.

It could be year 1 or 100 or 1000;  it could be 1920;  for there has been no real progress.

Just as the ‘Black Plague’ marched through the world in the mid 1300s, (recurring over the centuries)  and there was no cure; so too today in this so modern and ‘advanced’ world.

With all the ‘developments’ all the ‘science’  the world is in the same position today it was in the 1300s; in the 1900s.

Exactly the same.

Here are skeletons in a mass grave in France.  Buried between 1720 and 1721 as victims of the Bubonic Plague.

Here are bodies in a mass grave in America, being buried as victims of the Corona virus.

What is the difference?

All the thoughts of advancement, of power over nature, collapse.

We are no better at confronting today’s plague than our ancestors.
