AN EXPENSIVE DATE-A LAUGHING RIOT: BY: SHISHIR GUPTA
AN EXPENSIVE DATE-A LAUGHING RIOT-Volume I (Volume 1)
Messed evening yet again
with night even murkier
breaths like logjam freed once in a while
my chest heaves in pain
when will I be rid of this
yeah pain
no one in care
its death’s lonesome fare
before it arrives
it consumes
my flesh
and my mind
already
it fails the memory
so many times
that eyes forget to view
all blurry
nothing bright
goth is my color for life
or what remains of it
match stick legs
ditto arms
Oh! God
take me in
I cannot do the rounds
of your lush farms!
Cannot carry my own weight
and I am so so so very late!
