Love is not a gush
when all is hush
mad kissing
and then
may be quick sex,
followed by exchange of mundane gifts.
And a look that this is what I did last
nothing great
I move on to next.
It happens when you like
presence of other
and wait for it to happen.

down a waterfall of incessant talk.
It happens when you seem to tolerate
the face of the other and like it
when others find it ugly.
It happens when you concur
on major tenets of life
and make them all
your common philosophy of life.
It happens when you are selfless
and ready for any sacrifice
to see smile on the other face.
It happens when a small fever
sends your forehead in burrows
which show you both care!
