right in front

holding things

I have mulled

day and night

and no bright Sun

racked brain

and thoughts

on the run

a nut tightened here

and a bolt reset there

yet the machine

does not whirr

then another blueprint

my manila folder is full

papers abound

yet I am not done

no complexity

of this world

ever got me down

after a few days

I would write a tale

that I have won!

But then 

there are thwarts

that hit hard

and you feel done with

depressed and dead

but then pull that

last spark

with a huge breath

say heave ho!

and pull

the damn thing

through!
