Yesterday, I played around with MS Office 2016 Publisher on one of my roughs to see if I can add the speech bubbles and narration boxes on the computer. And, I noticed that it looks much neater via computer than by hand. I typed gibberish inside each box and speech bubble, just to see what it will look like when I finish one page. I even added a footer with novel title and page at the bottom. As I check out the whole page, I think I might add a black border around the page to frame the whole scene for each page. This is just a sample page design that I plan to do for my 200-page graphic novel.
I think I got the hang of it while practicing different tools on the Publisher program.
Is there anything else I should do for each page? Any suggestions?
the type looks clean and neat.
I see it too, but it also makes the type stand out more. but this page is a rough that i am not using in my graphic novel. I ended up redrawing this scene differently because the drawing looked too off that it bothered me.I plan to clean things up more on the computer when i fill in the script because the drawings are mostly manual pencil.
i think this editing process seems to be endless, whether writing a novel or drawing one. i am always editing, like a million times until i am happy or satisfied with the results. it is a headache.
