The beautiful Saint Augustine Lighthouse near the shoreline of the Atlantic Ocean can be seen from historic downtown Saint Augustine, Florida. This was Florida’s first lighthouse back in 1824 and renovated and rebuilt to its current structure in 1874. The light itself was switched from lard oil to kerosene in 1885 and to electricity in 1925.

That’s a lovely photo, Jess. I do like lighthouses. There are many that have been converted into homes and holiday homes.
