Log Corn Crib at Cades Cove

There was some wild architecture at the Cades Cove homesteads and farms in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee. Here on one primitive farm was what I think was a dovetailed log corn crib for storing ears of corn after harvesting. This had a swooping large roof on both sides to protect it from rain. This building would have the logs unchinked so they could breathe. Note there is an old wagon stored under one roof wing and it has a “flat” tire.
