This last house in Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee had an open door so you could go inside. It was a log cabin main structure with a clapboard addition. On the inside you can see it has not been used in years since having to be abandoned when Cades Cove became a National Park. You can see the crumbling stone faced fireplace and unfortunately graffiti on the board walls.
The graffiti angers me. I feel so blessed every time you are willing to share your journey. I will never see most of these places, but I can look at pictures every day. Forever grateful.
