We are in the Heinz Memorial Chapel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. We have walked closer to the altar in the front of the chapel to see the exquisitely carved wood. I can’t imagine how they could carve such intricate shapes and do it over so much of the church. The detail and the time it must have taken is astronomical.
