Angora Rabbit

Sometimes I wish I could be a fly on the wall and hear what inspires my grandsons to think about these things and eventually reach out to me to answer their questions and help them make decisions. When the youngest called and asked if he could please have an Angora Rabbit, I felt like it came out of nowhere. I didn’t even know what an Angora Rabbit was.

I attempt to be diplomatic and ask questions. “Well, I am not certain. I don’t believe I know of anyone around here that has Angora Rabbits and I am not sure how to take care of them or what to do with them. Is this something you would like as a pet?”

“Well kind of, you can cut their hair and make yarn too.” I said “Oh” and that is just what I meant. I was pretty much lost. I was very quiet.

“How about I let you think about it and you can call me when you know more.” I almost laughed right out loud. I am certain I have said that exact same thing to him multiple times.” I replied, “Fantastic idea. I will get back to you as soon as I can.”

I will keep you posted!
