One display at the Canadian Canoe Museum in Peterborough Canada had a very large planked canoe by the Peterborough Canoe Company. This particular one was large enough for a freighter canoe hauling big amounts of both people and merchandise. This canoe has narrow tapered outer planks and many narrow internal ribs. The interior was painted blue and there are yellow floors. It is even set up for a sail with a mast hole and step at the front thwart.
I keep saying this but I really enjoy the canoe museum posts. Seeing the canoes and stuff and learning some history of the making of them is great. This one is a beauty.
