I wanted to watch this fight because of former welterweight champ Devon Alexander. Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) promoted this fight to put Alexander back on the map against Ivan Redkach. Sometimes, Plan A doesn’t work because Redkach won with a TKO over Alexander as Redkach knocked Alexander down three times in the sixth round at the Soboba Casino Resort in San Jacinto, CA.
Redkach was not even fazed by the lights as he moved up from 140 lbs to 147 lbs for the first time in his career, but he definitely had the best fight of his career. Redkach also was not fazed by Alexander having Roy Jones, Jr. as his trainer because Redkach had Sugar Shane Mosley in his corner. I will be interested to see who Redkach will go up against in his next fight.
