After the New Orleans Pelicans botched the trade of Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers during last season, the future of the Pels looked pretty bleak as Jrue Holiday also asked to be traded as well. However, New Orleans have received a glimmer of hope by receiving the #1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft Lottery. This result means that they won the Zion sweepstakes as the #1 pick will be Zion Williamson. Unfortunately, the Pelicans will be in the same situation 3 years from now when Williamson is a free agent.
