Hertha Berlin was looking to hold on to a 1-0 victory Saturday evening, but Werder Bremen’s Claudio Pizarro scored the equalizer on a free kick in the 96th minute in the Bundesliga. The reason why there were six minutes of extra time given was due to Berlin midfielder Valentino Lazaro stalling and holding on to the ball. The stalling led to some pushing and shoving that was eventually broken up by the referees. As you watch the video clip, you will see that the Pizarro free kick deflected off of Lazaro into the goal. “Ball don’t lie!”
