In Downtown Lansing, Michigan there is a wonderful waterfront. This waterfront is on the Grand River and they have a nice Lansing River Trail along it for walking and access to the river to canoe and kayak. Here the buildings are modern and tall with great reflective windows. This summer they had flowers out everywhere especially along the waterfront. There are museums here and walking bridges to carry you safely across the river.
Seems like that might be a very nice place to visit.
