Rosa spoke to Cindy on the phone. Cindy was happy and surprised. She was due home in a week, would bring a gift.
Kelly and Rosa met Cindy at the airport. Both embraced her, Kelly had to force himself to let go, made a joke of it, to cover up.
On the way to their house, Kelly kept staring at Cindy, looking for some sense of regret that she’d ‘lost’ him, but there was none.
Cindy was happy for Rosa because she didn’t love Kelly at all. He was Rosa’s husband.
Cindy spent the weekend with them, then went to her parent’s house.
During those special days Kelly had tried to pretend that Cindy was his wife, but it kept failing.
Rosa noticed , thinking or trying to believe, that Kelly was being so solictious of Cindy on her behalf.
