Of course, no one expects to find giant trolls under bridges. However,in the Freemont neighborhood of Seattle, Washington under the Aurora Bridge you can find a giant eighteen-foot one-eyed troll holding on to a Volkswagen Bug. You do not have to worry about this troll eating you or your children because this is the imaginative artwork of a group of local artists who created it in 1990.
The group sculpted the troll as part of a competition to promote urban renewal. The local residents loved this troll and it found a permanent home under the bridge. The troll gets its share of love every Halloween when the community pay tribute to it as part of a mobile “Troll-o-ween” party that takes off right under the bridge and includes other sites and event that have to do with art all over the neighborhood.
