The messages stopped and Louis figured that his parents expected him to call them. Ha!
Days, weeks, now months, and he was not going to break. If they thought that they would ever get him to crawl to them, well, they could wait.
Louis went on to become a Fireman and things were not easy or nice. When the other guys talked about their lives, it was pretty clear they didn’t have much of a choice as to what they would do.
