Paula Lambert always felt dishonest when filling in a form that asked for occupation.
Writing ‘actress’ seemed somewhat erroneous. For thirty years she had appeared on a Soap Opera as Fredricka, (Freddie) but had never really acted.
She had played herself or who she thought her self was.
Simply put, Paula Lambert became Fredricka Myles when she entered the studio. She did really cry and act hysterical when Freddie’s husbands died because when she was in that studio, she was Freddie. She was Freddie and that man there that man was her husband.
She was Freddie, until the camera stopped.
Then, she’d leave the set, change into her street clothes and return to being Paula.
For Thirty years.
