Ionescu #1 pick in WNBA Draft

The New York Liberty are not stupid. With the #1 pick of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) Draft, the Liberty selected Oregon point guard Sabrina Ionescu.  

If you follow women’s college basketball, then you knew that this selection was an absolute no-brainer.  Ionescu has the most triple-doubles in men’s and women’s college basketball history with 26.  Her career statistics are off the charts:  18 points per game, 7.3 rebounds per game, 7.3 assists per game.  

The WNBA season normally starts around Memorial Day weekend, but the season may be postponed because of the coronavirus outbreak.
