Old folks used to say when I was growing up. ‘When you point one finger at me, you’re pointing three back at yourself.’ Don’t laugh but to this day I try to avoid pointing my finger even when I’m giving directions. LOL.
Anyway, the analogy is: Can’t point a finger at the UAE without pointing three back at my own country, the USA.
I’m pointing my 3 fingers at the October 15th, 2019 Democratic Debate. It came and went. One of our candidates in the 2020 Presidential Election advocates the UBI, Universal Basic Income, as a means to combat poverty or the fear of poverty. I disagree with him. To me, it sounds like you’re putting an entire nation on the welfare system. Whatever! That’s my opinion. But lots of folks are in favor of this suggestion. Fine. If I have to stand alone and oppose it, I’ll stand alone and on my own. God Bless the USA!
