Visiting different kind of historical buildings is a amazing experience. This time we were of to the Lahore Fort which is situated at the northern side of old wall city of Lahore. It is very old fortress which was initially built by Mahmood Ghaznavi in 11th century. Lahore Fort has many monuments as it faces many invasions. The mud made Mahmood Ghaznavi’s Lahore Fort was first time invaded and destroyed by Changaiz Khan’s forces. After that it was many time invaded, destroyed and rebuilt by Turks, Afghans, sikh and Mughals. The present Lahore Fort was built in 17th century during the regime of Mughal ruler Akber.
During the Sikh period this historical fort was residence of great sikh ruler Muharaja Ranjit Singh.
Overall it is a great place for the people who like to know about history and historical places.
