Gintoki is trained and versed in the ways of the samurai, including the code of Bushido. He is the founder and president of the Yorozuya Gin-Chan, as well as a highly skilled samurai, having fought in the Joui War in the past. During the war, he became known as the Shiroyasha (White Demon) due to his powerful swordplay and demonic white appearance.
Gintama was authored by Akatsuki Yamatoya and aired from April 4, 2006 – March 26, 2017 with 9 seasons.
