Gildarts uses Crush magic, he is an S-class wizard and is known as the strongest mage in Fairy Tail. He lost his left arm, leg, and almost that part of his side in a fight against Acnologia before the dragon even came to Tenrou Island during the S-class tournament. Gildarts is the father of Cana Alberona and is somewhat of a ladies man.
