While in beautiful Belfast, Maine we walked down to the waterfront to see the Atlantic Ocean meet the wide mouth of the Passagassawakeag River. There was an old train trestle bridge that crossed the river low to the water that was abandoned and converted to a great walkway over the river. From here we could watch the sunset over the very tall roadway bridge of route 1 crossing over the Passagassawakeag River.
