This was a chilly sunrise on Fourth Lake in the Adirondacks near Old Forge, NY. Even in September it was near freezing at sunrise as the sun came up over the mountains and water. We like to visit here every Fall as part of the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association‘s Chapter One, but this year it was cancelled due to Coronavirus like almost everything else in NY state. This is from our last trip there and I hope we can go again in 2021. I remember going out on the narrow boat piers to view out over the water and finding many frozen spots on the boards you had to watch out for.
