Here on the “Green” or large lawn at Paul Smith’s College in the Northern Adirondacks we are viewing some of the many fine canoes of the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA). Here is a fine canoe ready to launch for fun paddling on Lower Saint Regis Lake a few feet away. It has a parasol, old phonograph for music and he has his hat at the ready for the sunny day. His Harvard pin is prominently displayed and of course there is a nice persian rug in the bottom of the canoe for comfort.
