When you come out of one of the display buildings at the Adirondack Museum (now called the Adirondack Experience) you come out on a balcony with an incredible view. This is Blue Mountain Lake which has been known as “The Jewel of the Adirondacks” for over a century. It is very blue and deep and has many beautiful islands. There are boat tours here or you can paddle there in your Canoe.
