Here on Twitchell Lake near Big Old Forge and Eagle Bay in the Adirondacks of Upstate NY it was very early in Fall. Around the edges of Twitchell Lake there were mostly evergreen trees, both living and dead, and also a few deciduous trees. These latter were slowly starting to change color and would peak out in 2-3 weeks. Each night it got down to about freezing and spurred the color on further.
