This beautiful Japanese Maple tree behind a house in Peoria, Illinois looked so red that it appeared to be Autumn instead of late May. The brick mansion itself was magnificent, but it was greatly enhanced by this red and green leafed tree. This must be a “crimson Japanese Maple” variety with nice red or crimson foliage.
