Aloo Kathi Roll Recipe

I went for my astrology classes in the afternoon. When the classes finished by the evening, I was quite famished. So before going to the temple, I stopped on the way and bought aloo (Potato) kathi roll and butterscotch shake which was simply delicious.

You can easily make aloo kathi roll at home too. Aloo kathi roll is basically rolled paratha or roti with stuffing of a mixture of potatoes, veg salad & green chutney. You can make the paranthas using wheat flour of refined flour. The ones available in the market use refined flour. However refined flour is not healthy and so while making kathi rolls at home, we should use wheat flour.

For the stuffing, first make jeera aloo. Make salad topping using grated carrots, cabbage and onion. Make the paranthas. Apply green chutney (coriander or pudina chutney) on one side of the parantha. You can also use tomato sauce or schzwan in place of green chutney.Add jeera aloo in the centre of the parantha and top it with veg salad. Sprinkle chaat powder on it. Now roll the parantha from both the sides and seal it from the bottom. Secure it with a toothpick to prevent it from opening. Aloo kathi roll is ready.
